I won a week-long holiday in Egypt through the Red Sea Diving Safari Photo Contest. The award was based on images submitted by past visitors, showcasing underwater photography taken while diving at RSDS resorts.
RSDS hosts an annual competition open to previous guests, and I submitted a photograph of a hermit crab feeding on a small washed-up fish. The image was well-received, and winning the contest awarded me a week-long stay at one of their resorts. The timing was ideal, as it allowed me to enter a recent dive image and gain recognition from a professional diving and photography organisation.
Unusually for this competition, my submission featured an animal outside of the water. I found this hermit crab just above the intertidal zone, consuming a washed up dead fish!
